[ARCHIVED THREAD] - OK to keep Beta-C mags loaded?

Is it Ok to keep Beta -C mags loaded for when SHTF.
Anyone make metal feed towers for them since the tip of the bullets puts a gouge and a groove in the front of the plastic towers as you load them.
What is your experiance with reliablity with them.
I sometimes have a failur to feed because the bolt doesn't fully go back all the way with enough force to strip the next round from the mag it seems.
The Beta was new since it was purchased and loaded with the supplied tool from stripper clips.
I have used both XM193 and SS109 with same problems.
I have a all stock Colt 6721 with a heavy buffer.
I have no problems with standard 30 rd. mags.

If lubricated properly prior
to loading, then definately ok.

I bought a few of them and have only opened one of the boxes up and noticed the graphite lube ,but how and where do you lube them?

downloadable at one time. I may have that on the HD

Don't they come pre lubed from the factory when new?
Perhaps that's why I had feeding problems?
Doesn't make sense to buy something new only to have to take it apart to lube it before hand.

you don't take it apart to lube.
The manual states that prior to loading (every 3 or 4 hundred rounds or so) you "squirt" some of that graphite powder on the top two pusher rounds and load up.

I have used my c-mag 7 times so far following this procedure and I have no issues to report.

I shoot that graphite in there for every loading.
