Just for the sake of saying I have one I bought an Orlite at CTD.  Um, it won't seat in the magwell at all.  The packaging clearly states it is for AR15s.  Any suggestions (other than take it back to Fort Worth)?  Feel free to laugh while you type.

is it too tight in the magwell? is your lower a bushy?

why did you buy an olite?!?! NIW USGI mags are going for less than $10!

Somewhere, something terrible has happened to a kitten.

As it sounds like you were warned, it's all your fault.

It was just something to have.  Kinda like why did I buy an HK mag?  It's not to tight, it just won't insert far enough.

You usually have to do some fitting with those.  Once at a show John with CMMG warned me about that, so I bought some more Black DPMS mags.

Is your rifle a bushmaster by any chance? Back during the ban, we had muliple customers return the orlites they bought because they wouldn't lock in the lower.

I bought an orlite during the ban, and I like it.  It works great, no problems whatsoever.  The thing that sucks about them is they're made out of plastic so eventually I'll melt or crack it, but for what I use it for it's fine.  I like wolf ammo too.    Too bad yours is crap, maybe I got a good one, ya, USGI is the way to go, so I'll still laugh at you. hahahaaa

I bought 10 Orlites about 2 years ago for $3.00 each and sold 'em, I will never buy another Orlite mag.

I bought 7 orlites a long time ago for my  2 Bushmasters

You and I must have gotten the only orlites that work 'cause I've got a bushie too and it doesn't mind at all.

Orlite mags have a mold number stamped on them.  Ones with a mold number of 0/20 or higher will fit Bushmaster and others.  The ridge on these sits a fraction of an inch lower and allows them to seat all the way in the mag well.

If it won't insert far enough, it may be for a Mini-14. I had a90 round drum I thought was for an AR15 but it wouldn't seat far enough into the magwell. Found out later it was for a Mini-14.

There is no such thing as an Orlite mag for a Mini-14.

Nope there is three of us. ALL of my Orlites work and fit perfectly in my Bushmaster and my Armalite. I have had no problems with my Orlites and have used 'em for years

There was an issue several years ago with Orlite mags and Bushmaster rifles. The bevel of the mag well was cut in such a way that the rib on the Orlite mags wouldn't seat properly. You can grind the lip on the mag down and it will work just fine.

+1

certain lots of Orlites wont fit Bushy (and another brand...)'s lowers--some sanding required

other orlites work fine--heck i still got a few around, and they all fit and function 100%

Nope, I bought 3 Orlites for around $5 total a little while back.  The ONLY Orlite that feeds at all, also works just fine in my Bushy.  So I guess that makes 3 of us.?

Could it be by any chance that the mag might fit an AR-18/AR-180? Just curious.
