Anyone know what Early bend gas tubes are going for these days?
Link Posted: 2/21/2022 2:26:02 PM EDT
[#2]
Early bend carbon gas tubes maybe $125-150
Early bend stainless gas tubes maybe $100

I actually haven't seen any carbon tubes lately; I am in need of a couple actually.

I know the values of pre 1972 parts, but after that, I am at a loss.  So, if anyone could let me know the current value of this C7 upper, I would appreciate it.

I'd say 300.00 is a reasonable price for a used military C7 receiver in the condition pictured, commercial ones are selling for 200.00 - 225.00.

ETA : I've seen NOS Colt C7's sell for 500.00 during Covid and many very nice 733 parts kit take off C7's sell for 400.00.

Price check on a colt 602 slick side carrier?  No bolt, cam pin, firing pin, or retainer.

602 BCG can be parked or chrome, or a mix. Chrome carriers tend to bring more.
$150-$200 for carrier in original condition.

I have a Colt grey complete M16A3 upper that I purchased years ago that's been sitting on my M16A2 in the safe. I think its a 14.5 barrel, flat top. Its the old Colt grey and is a perfect match to my circa 84-85 Colt M16A2. Not really using it at all and its in minty condition. Any ideas on a value?

Pictures would help but you're looking at 750.00 - 800.00 +/- depending on condition.

I have a Armalite AR7, black, solid brown furniture.  In < 20 rounds fired condition, based on box of ammo stored with weapon.
Provenance of the weapon is it was a gift from Eugene Stoner to a girlfriend, my best friend's mother.
Serial number is between 100 and 200, not 50,100 - 50,200, 100 - 200.

That’s insanely neat! Honestly depends on the documents that come with it. That ar7 alone is maybe $500-$750

No docs, both my friend and his mother are dead.  Both have told me the story personally, so it is first hand, not hearsay. I could generate documentation, and the fact that it is pre production corroborates the provenance.  I personalty know it has been in his mother's possession since the late 60s.

Going through some of my parts stash.

Came across some likely retro items.

What do I have/what is it worth?

Pretty sure that one dial is a Rapidex knob, can't find any comps.

Also one of the rear peeps has been painted green for whatever reason.

Complete C MP B marked on the underside of the barrel upper minus BCG, almost mint condition, handguards are mint.

Complete upper minus BCG

Also CMP C marked stripped barrel about 85%

Thanks

I removed a complete upper from my new Colt 6920 to install another barrel.

Any idea of the going rate? It includes BCD, handle, sight. Less than 20 rounds in pristine condition.

Also interested in what this is worth.

6 hole HG's (not shown clearly), 2 pos telescoping stock.  Does NOT have the triangle CH anymore (I don't think it was correct for the rifle).

Had this listed in the main section , operator error, sorry Mods.
Picked this up along with some other great retro parts . Haven’t been able to find current value on this early GEN 2 stock. It is marked with the number “1” and [NN] on the lower right side under the lever.  From what I’ve read these grey anodized stocks were the predecessor to the vinyl coated versions.  Also picked up a SP1 upper with what I believe to be a Lone Star Ordinance A2 type Handguard. Last I heard the LSO stuff was getting popular with retro builds.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you.

My stock looks like the one on the middle carbine in this photo I pulled off the web.

LSO rifle length HG's and Pistol Grips are very hot right now, I can see the hg's selling in the 75-100 range on the low end and 150-200 on the gunbroker crazy high end. That stock is worth whatever anyone would pay for it, so 250.00-500.00 is a conservative estimate based off of other sales.

All I know is this upper is all original, it does not have a forward assist. The lower however is new. Any other information in regards to age and value is greatly appreciated

It's either a Colt SP1 or Colt 604 upper from around 1968 - 1969 depending on the front pivot pin size. If it has a bushing and is .315 it's SP1, if it's .250 then it's a 604 but either way it's a nice upper and definitely Colt.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I recently got this upper along with a brownells 601 lower (which im still debating whether I wanna build or not ). I'm shying away from declaring its surplus just because how excellent the finish is. Completly devoid of any markings other than the CA and a B on the rear takedown pin hole. not 100% sure on what the make is. Any help?

I originally posted this the main retro forum section, but was informed that this was the correct place post my query.

From what I understand it has a very low round count, probably less than 1,500.

This is not mine. I am not trying to sell it, or buy. I just have a buddy who is interested in knowing what something like this would go for.

So far, I have been told $2,500 in today’s current market.

That's easily a 3500.00 carbine in CT and MA, and probably closer to a 3000.00 Gunbroker price, I think 2500.00 is a fair deal if selling to a friend etc.

That lower receiver alone is worth 1500.00 - 2000.00 in CT and MA, just remember that people in most states that have no ban won't pay these prices.

Understood. So, in free states it sounds like it’s looking like 1500 to 2000, correct?

How much would just the upper go for?

Ban States $3500.00 +

Upper receiver assembly is $1250.00 + across all states

I'd need more info on the barrel markings to give an accurate appraisal on the upper. The Type E stock and all the buffer, tube, etc $125.00 - $150.00, Colt BCG + CH $200.00.

I think you'd easily get $1500.00 for the barreled upper, complete upper with BCG/CH $1750.00 +. There's an identical upper listed on GB for $2250.00 but the condition isn't as good as yours. I think that's a bit high, especially for the condition but could see someone paying up to $2000.00 for yours.

I've recently sold a NDS-XM16E1 lower for $350.00, pretty sure I'd be comfortable asking $600.00 plus shipping if someone wanted both or $350.00 shipped each.

ETA - The values on NDS-601, NDS-XM16E1, and NDS-M16A1 lowers are the same, well at least until Mike comes out with the final production numbers on each like he promised.

This is a later and far more common barrel than your previous Colt barrel (made from 1974 into the early 80's). The corrosion really kills the value, if it didn't have the corrosion your looking at $500+ but now with the bore damage I can't see anyone paying more than $150.00 for the barrel and another $50.00 for the HG's, FH, and Gastube. I've seen rare barrels (Winchester or VP 12) with bore damage sell for $450.00+ and that's mainly because of the scarcity.

Click on this link and scroll down to barrels to get dates, C MP Chrome Bore 1974-1982 This one has a much better bore than the last one but has a decent amount of external finish wear which devalues it slightly, If I were selling this barrel I'd ask $400.00 and take the first offer above $350.00. Again, it could sell on Gunbroker for higher if you get 2 bidders wanting a M16A1 barrel for a BFPU clone.

Almost looks like an early SP1 upper with a later SP1 barrel. Can you take and post more pics of the upper itself and is there any forge codes or markings?
