So I have a 10.5 Noveske SS barrel that has about 2k rounds through it.

On the paperwork that came with it Noveske advises against using a chamber brush so I've only been using a bore snake and mop to clean it with Hoppes no. 9 gun bore cleaner.

After my latest range trip the spent brass shows a slight scratch on the neck which is indicative of a burr in the chamber this scratch is post firing as it is shiny with no carbon on it.

Should I hit the chamber with a chamber brush? Will it cause issues as there is a reason Noveske says not to use one.

try to use a nylon one to brush it.

Buy a nylon type chamber brush and don't worry about it. The nylon won't damage a thing and neither will the standard unless you go ape shit crazy with it.

I've heard of people chucking a G.I. chamber brush in a power drill to clean their chamber. Obviously that would do your chamber no good.

I Push a G.I. brush gently in and pull it out three times, then I insert it fully in the chamber and give it two full revolutions. Compressed air works great to blow the crud out. Follow up push wet patches of your favorite solvent. Seriously, your chamber needs to be cleaned, how you do it is up to you.

Never shove a chamber brush so deep that it engages the rifling when you're turning it and you'll be fine.
