Have converted UZI mags, most garage jobs but one is RRA converted. Also two promags. All UZI mags, esp. the RRA conversion which is most in spec, require very firm force upward to seat. Whether loaded or not. Promags not so much.

Is this normal for a 9mm AR? I can't imagine my block has anything to do with it since I am still using the normal mag catch. Got the block at a show, believe its ASA.

Have not yet fired this thing. RRA complete upper. Bushie lower. Upper and lower is one of the tightest fits I have seen without any external aids meant to take up slop.

My 9mm setup with hahn block requires more force inserting mags that my 5.56, using both colt and promags.

it sounds normal to me. i have a stock colt 6450 and my mags all require much force to insert, even when i only load 30 rounds in them. i am using the latest colt 32 rounders (6) and also (5 promags. i usually lock the bolt back before inserting a mag and no problems. the pro mags run as well as the factory mags btw.
