What is up my fellow black gun freaks???  Howdy from Texas.  I would like to take a minute to say, LOVE THIS BOARD!!!  After a short, three-year stint in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornistan, I moved back to TX and immediately re-kindled my love of the AR's, particularly the carbine models.  The following pics are of my two babys, (I hope they start breeding soon...)

The first one that I got was the Bushmaster XM15-E2S, just straight off the shelf.  Came with the typical A2 Birdcage, 6 pos stock, etc.  I since have added a Surefire quadrail, surefire M951, GG&G BUIS, Aimpoint Comp ML2, Tango Down front grip, some rail panels, and of course my Mamba sling.

The second, I just finished literally minutes ago.  It started life as a Bushie lower with a DPMS LPK and 6 pos stock.  I then acquired a GG&G Dominator upper with the quadrail flip-up front sight, phanton flash hider, and of course the GG&G rear BUIS.  As far as the bolt assembly, DPMS Phosphate coated b/c ass, and DPMS standard charging handle, they were out of the tac handles hinking.gif.  Tango down front grip, some rail panels, Aimpoint Comp M2 this time.  I am probably going to ditch this cantalevier mount, I dont like the way it looks on my gun and go with the ARMS M68 with a half spacer like the other gun.  Also should be getting my Surefire M961 this week for it, should prove to be fun with blinding the stoner neighbors.  Cant wait to go shoot it......ht...and

Congrats and some ver very nice AR's especially the one with the M951XM06/05, I have pretty much the exact same set up as the one with the light, everything is pretty much the same except I have a Vltor stock and a ARMS Cantilever mount other than that they are identical

great job and good luck!!!

Yeah, Im going to give the M961 a try.  I like the specs on it.  Kinda sucks when my TacLight on my glock is brighter than my AR, its just not right.  Anyone have an opinion on that?

couple nice carbines there
now just a few longer barrels, some more shorty's,
lots of mags and ammo

and...uh...
if you're gonna get into the whole AR building/cleaning thing, you might need a gun bench instead of the kitchen counter - jk

welcome to the disease

I put in the P61 bulb in my M951XM05 which gives it 120 lumens which in my opinion is plenty bright enough, the only down side is it only last at that level for 20 minutes but for my use (home defense) I beleive that 20 minutes is plenty of time and if not I have a spare set of batts on board.
