Alright, what the hell am I missing??

I took the buttstock off my M4 to put a single point sling adapter on it.

NOW.....what the heck is supposed to hold that plunger that's in front of the piston and spring?

I thought I had it right, but after a couple pulls on the charge handle, the damn pin and spring pop out and end up in the action....

I let the tip of the plunger go in front of the "piston".

Help me out please!!!

The reciever extension has to be screwed in until it goes across the shoulder of the buffer retaining pin. Go to the home page and check out the assembly and/or diagrams.

I screwed the butt in farther. DUH!!!!!!!!!!

I won't do that again!

I'll leave this post as a testament to my ignorance....
