Good lookin rifle you got there. I think you need a higher capacity magazine to round out the package though

I've got plenty of 30 round mags (~ 70 at last count) I just find the 20's a bit handier.

One question, I'm new so give me a break. What is the benifit of having both iron sights and the holographic site? I want to build a carbine with a low profile gas block.

The idea is if your batteries are dead or the optic broken, you flip up your irons and shoot the old fashion way.

Murphy's Law...Batteries always seem to die when you need them most, hense the need for iron backups

Not in this case. I can just flip up the rear sight and have the same POI as the optic (hence the co-witnessing pic)
