Well the AWB is almost up and I have a crapy job and go to school full time. Sence I can not enjoy the happyness that is a new AR15 I am going to buy 2 new receivers. I'm thinking I should buy what I can while I can. Later I can buy that 7.62x39 kit from model 1 sales and see if I can get me a kit or upper in 22-250 from some where. Does anybody know where or if I can get a AR15 in 22-250.

No idea if you will ever find one in that caliber.  Why do you even want an AR15 if you aren't interested in standard calibers?

I've never seen an AR chambered in 22-250.

There is an ad in the latest SGN from Tromix saying that he will build wildcat caliber AR's, but he doesn't specifically mention 22-250.

Closest I've heard of Olympic has uppers in that new oddball .223 WSSM. Wierd.

I'm with the other guys. If you want a 22-250, buy one. If you want an AR, buy an AR.

I love the AR15, but 223/5.56 is to underpowered for me. That and I already have a 22-250 and 7.62x39 so no new calabers. I guess I'll just save for a DMPS 308 AR. I reload for a 30-06 so less stuff to buy. Thanks for the help guys. I remembered the 223WSSM AR and thought if they could do it for that then why not 22-250?

extrazero8,
A 22-250 rd will not fit in an ar mag. The 22-250 rd is similar is length to a .243 or .308.
If you want an ar stick to .223/5.56 cambering. The 7.62x39 is an excellent rd in my
opinion, but I have never owned an ar in this round.  I have heard 7.62x39 does not always
function properly in USGI mags.

                                                     Sincerely,

Yeah, I know about the mag thing. You have to buy ones made just for the 7.62x39 case. I think the last time I looked for some they were $20 for 20 rounders. When the ban ends I am sure some 30 round ones will be made. I can only hope to find some 75 round frankinmags. When I get done with it I am going to make it look like my Norico NHM91. You know, so it can have a younger, better shooting, little brother.
