Hi guys,

I got did some looking around today to find out the best way to remove and install a 3-prong flash hider. I found lots of archived threads that either suggested one of several GI or repro GI wrenches and some even suggested using your bare hands.

I happened to figure out an easy way that some of you may find useful. Cut a 2 inch long section of 3/4 inch diameter automotive heater hose, jam it over the flash hider and twist. The hose will grab the hider and off she'll go. No scratches, nicks, etc from a metal tool. Still done by hand but, the hose gives you something better to grab a hold of.

I can see that working.I generally use one of those household rubber pads that "Mom,or wifey" would use to remove jar lids.
