Anyone seen the new Nikon "dual illuminated" Tactical Scopes yet?  What's "the scoop?"

Are you talking about this one?

I don't know anything about Nikon scopes but as a long time Nikon photography buff (read: addict) I'd be interested in learning more.

Nikon makes nice glass.

Actually, it is so new, I don't think it's even out yet.  It is supposed to be available within approximately 2 to 3 weeks possibly.  It is the 2.5-10X44IR mil dot (w/dual IR):

I've seen the dual illuminated in 6x20x44.  Pretty neat but I question the need for two colors...still being a gear junkie almost bought one.  I compared it to the Leupold Vari X-III 4.5x16x50 illuminated to have a bit more clarity in the optics.   Only about a 70 dolar difference.  They were very comparible. I'd heard Nikon had poor customer service.  Went with the Leupod.

I have a lot of Nikon camera gear and microscopes. Prices are high, products generally good BUT very bad customer service.

This swayed my decision when I recently purchased a scope - ran with Bushnell 4200 Elite
