For what it's worth, I;ve always fealt that Nikon's glass was superior to Leupold's in a given price range. I own a few Nikon's. They've been excelent, and Nikon's cust service is spectacular. The new Nikon AR scope is basically a purpose built Nikon Monarch. The Monarch is the Nikon top of the line. Good stuff.

Kind of what I was thinkiong with the nikon..

Just wondering now what I would be more happy with the smaller scope or the higher power with the BDC..

I would rather have the smaller, but wonder how it is with shots out to and past 200 yards

Combat arms has a good write up of the Nikons and Nikon has a web site with a balistic calculator to use with these scopes. Personally I would go with Nikon if I could not compare them side by side.

I'd go with the Nikon and would consider the African model.  I'm not much for exposed turrets on a scope like that and I'm not wild about the "point blank" reticle.
