What is the deal with the night vision capable Nightforce compact scopes?  Does this mean it has an illumination setting that is compatible with NVG's?  Can a person fire a rifle using NVG's and a riflescope?  If so what about recoil etc?  If you have not figured it out by now I am a greenhorn when it comes to this tactical gear but I want to equip myself with night capable equipment to start shooting hogs and other varmints after hours.  I had rather purchase a Nightforce and a pair of goggles than a nightforce scope and a night vision scope.

Is it standard pratice to fire a rifle using NVGs looking through a scope.  I can see where the cyclops NVG would not work.  What about recoil.  How do you prevent mashing the NVGs into the shooters face?  Im going to call around but I thought I would try here first.  Thanks, KP
