I encourage anyone interested in Wolf Gold brand ammunition or Privi Partisan Brand ammo to go read the "Road Trip" article in the March 20th newsstand issue of Shotgun News (that's the Mar 10th home subscription issue). This article informs you that Privi Partisan now produces ammunition exclusively for WOLF. It also has news of a new SNIPER round in 7.92x57 (8mm Mauser) and 7.62x54R. It is a very informative article on how these two rounds were developed as well as the HOPEs of future availability here in the US.

As a addendium to this article you will also find a mini-article on Wolf Gold ammunition.

In the article on Wolf Gold you will be informed that this line of ammo will include such calibres as 22-250, 243,  270, 7 Rem Mag, 30-30, 30.06, and 300 Win mag. You will also be advised that some obsolete calibres will be included such as 7.62x25 Tokarev, 6.5x55 Swedish, 7.5x55 Swiss, 7.62x54R, 303 British, and 8mm Mauser, even 7.62mm Nagant pistol.

New additions are also planned such as a new Heavy round for .223 intended for Law Enforcement, Personal Protection, and Civilian markets. This new load developed by Privi Partisan is a  75 grain Hollow-point boattail projectile (dubbed by Wolf as the "Multi-Purpose Tactical"). It is optimised to produce 10 shot groups averaging 1 inch and stabilized for the 1:9 twist of the 14,5 and 16 inch barreled AR-15 in Civilian hands.

It produces a velocity of 2750 out of a 20 inch barrel.

Now that presents several reasons to go read the article.

I read the article and can't wait for this new heavy .223 round to come out. They claim it was designed to shoot well from a 1/9 barrel, we'll see. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. The rest of the article was interesting also.

Yes, 180 rounds of Swiss ammo cost more than the damn rifle.

1. Thanks - the 75gr should be interesting.

2. It's "Prvi" - a privy is a toilet.  Prvi means 'first.'

Wolf said that they are considering production of 5.7x28, and I'm guessing that Prvi may be the ones manufacturing it. I would have been happy with the cheap steel cased stuff because it keeps the cost down. The Wolf Gold prices are very high and no longer become a source of "good cheap ammo".

You are correct OODA_Loop. It is Privi my mistake.

Thank you !

Well the M193 hasn't been too thrilling.  So I'm not going to rejoice over this new arrangement.

I for one am highly offended that anyone would consider the 6.5 x 55 Sweed "obsolite". Afordable 7.5 Swiss though, that would be outstanding.

I agree the 6.5x55 is surprising, it looks and shoots like a modern ammo.

I'm really not trying to be a ****, just educate - it's "PRVI" not "PRIVI"

Pronounced like "PERVY" and you'll get it right!

Ammoman is featuring the Wolf Gold, the prices seem a little high to me.
