I'm fairly new here and have a few questions. I already have an AK, and am having a FAL built right now by who I consider the best builder in existence. I'm thinking about getting an AR to round out my selection of service type rifles. I'm kind of interested in the Mega lowers posted elsewhere in here. I want to put a 20" Varmint  upper on it, possibly Rock River. Are there any issues with mismatching uppers and lowers???   How will the color match be??? What sort of accuracy might I expect ??? Finally, will I need any extra parts to put the two pieces together??   Thanks for any advice.

No, as long as the pivot pin matches, (older Colts, have large pin)

Color, maybe...

Accuracy, how well do YOU shoot?

No extra parts necessary, if using "complete uppers and lowers, but mags, ammo, scopes are all extras, and the addiction for other add-ons will get worse.....

I have a RRA upper on a Mega lower, once the CLP soaked into the RRA upper the color match is perfect. The fit between the two was also very snug, which I like. All the parts you need to put them together will be in the lower parts kit that you will need for your lower, if you decide to go with a Mega.

Other than the trigger, the type of lower really doesn't have much to do with accuracy IMHO.
