OK––here's what I have:

Mini-14 Tactical in a Butler Creek folder––-16" /w flash hider––sweet little rifle and I'm not selling it
DPMS AP4––lower tier M4-gery
Ruger stainless Hawkeye .30-06––-and yes, its a friggin tack driver.

Stag lower––DPMS guts––-full rifle stock

1000 rounds of 7.62x39 in the garage––and no rifle for it.

Here's what I'm thinking for the upper––
1. Tier 1 5.56––––nice––but I already have 2 other .223's
2. 6.8 mid level ––-what I'm leaning toward due to power and effectiveness
3. 7.62x39 mid level––troublesome magazines in an AR?? and I don't have a rifle for all that ammo.

Thinkin mostly a SHTF/personal protection weapon––-possible hunting-but no big deal there.

Would be nice to have a rifle for all that ammo––-but looking at the Mini-30 for that too.

Any thoughts??? Plus I haven't really started thinking about whether to go 16" or 20" for the length.

So many choices making it hard to focus.
