That is fabulous! Many thanks to NDS. Will this be commercial or mil spec size?

Link says mil-spec.

Between this and the guy that has $200 barrels, I might be needing to build a XM177E2 sooner than I thought...

I know what you mean. I just scored a Colt aluminum stock with the vinyl acetate coating off of GB for $304. It is in immaculate condition. I tried to order a retro stock assembly from Essential Arms, but they no longer have any 2-pos. tubes and did not know when they were going to have any more. I have spent more than I planned, but I end up with some really great quality items in the long run.

Custom serial numbers on their AK receivers. Don't mean to be a nag, but I'd be a buyer again...

great, just what I need.......more choices for my prototype build...do I want a carbine with regular buttstock or do I want to make it a collapsable or maybe one of JHUD's M231 type or ......................

At least I know what the upper is going to look like, NDS-32 with AR-10 hg's and a My65Pan half serration slip ring in bright aluminum and a hard chrome BCG.

Oh the possibilities.........

Yes, the prototype lower.

We want all of this stuff and we want it now! Dammit. Don't forget to make both Portuguese and Sudanese lower receivers.

Tony's Custom Uppers has them, but his photo is incorrect.

It shows a body with ribs, I have one and it does not.

Here it is refinished in a gloss powdercoat.

Does the gloss powdercoat simulate "Aluminum Body coated with Vinyl-Acetate" as described by Retroblackrifle.com? Is there a thread about refinishing/powdercoating aluminum butt stocks? I searched the forum and archive but didn't find anything......

Thanks!

FYI, Vaugn at Essential Arms told me they have been using powder coat for many years.

+1 to this. I ordered one of these and was very happy with it. Vaugn spent some time on the phone with me. A very nice guy.
I can put his next to an original vinyl-acetate and they look very similar. I can tell by the feel that they are different. But
from a visual standpoint, they look very convincing.
