Here is my new Stag M4 build. It is made up of a Stag M4 Ltd Edition Upper and a Stag lower. The rest of the goodies is self explanatory.

YES, that is a Clonepoint red dot! I bought it for range plinking and as a "try before I buy" for the real thing. It's actually pretty nice. Seems well built and optics a crystal clear. Can't go wrong for only $70.

Well tell me what you think of the rifle.

It was suppossedly a limited number of uppers Stag had from a contract overrun.

It is an M4 upper with the extended feed ramps, 1/7 twist barrel and the T-marked accessory rail. As a gimmick it came in a "special" black Stag box with a gold sticker reading in my case "17 of 150". It also includes the Phantom Flash suppressor.

Its also the 14.5" barrel, and MP tested. The end of the barrel should look a lot like this.....

Yep. It looks just like that. I forgot that the part about it being MP tested and comes with the paperwork proving it.

The Pentagon light/laser combo is the MS2 Xenon version. They also had an MD2 which is LED but I got a really great price on this one at a local gun show a couple months back so I stuck to conventional bulb. Its a nice unit. Compact but very bright light. the laser is pretty good. I really don't use it that much, but like I said I got a great price on the combo unit so I figured what the heck.

Nice build.

When you're ready to replace your optic later on take a look at EOTech too.

I have both Aimpoint and EOTech but I prefer the EOTech for all around indoor/ outdoor use.

Have fun.

Thanks for the advise, but I too have an Eotech on another AR.

Looks good - Stag/CMT seems to be squared away.

Love the Tacti-Cat too.

Looks awsome.
Can you go through the specs?- stock, grip, sight
- Whats the Light/ laser mount? Which light and laser (if that is a laser) did you use? Do you like it?

Details, details............... Ok ARBOY here you go:

Samco G27 grip, Magpul M93B stock, Arms #40 BUIS, CLONEpoint red dot sight, Knights RAS II rails, Magpul Trigger guard, Pentagon MS2 light/laser combo, TangoDown forward grip, Stag LTD edition M4 upper, Stag-15 lower, Stag internal parts.

That should be everything. Oh, and I like it all....

Thanks for the info. It looks cool!

Doe the triggerguard do anything else besides look coos?

Good looking rifle.

I love my Stag.

The Magpul improved trigger guard gives you a little more finger room, which can help when shooting with gloves. Also, it fills the gap that exists at the rear of a standard trigger guard. Furthermore, the edges are nicely rounded, which you don't think about until you scrape your finger on the edge of a standard trigger guard.

They are not a necessity, but I like mine.

Available here.

I am all aflutter with all the compliments. I am especially relieved that Tom Cruise approves. I was so worried he wouldn't

Seriously though, thanks to all. It is very rewarding to have one's work validated by one's peers.

So have you used the self moving furry target yet?
Link Posted: 3/30/2006 7:08:32 PM EDT
Nice, I did not know Stag had some 1/7 twist uppers. I wonder why they do not make 1/7 on a regular basis.
Link Posted: 3/31/2006 3:13:45 AM EDT
Other than this limited overrun of 150 uppers, they don't mention 1/7 anywhere on their web site. I wonder if they would make as special order like Bushmaster????

I wonder which company ordered these that created the overrrun. Folks on here always comment that CMT/Stag makes stuff for others, including Colt. I don't think these would have been for Colt since there is no "4" or "M4" markings anywhere like you find on Colt M4 uppers

Great rifle, and a cool cat too.

Yeah that cat is a real ham! Anytime I have the camera out she shows up. I don't understand but she seems to know what it's for.
