Nightforce has two new NXS models, a 1-4x, and a 2-10x. I am looking for feedback from end-users on these two models.

Pictures of them on rifles would help with relative size and configuration.

How do they compare to the M/RT and TA11? (I love the latter, dislike the former.)

I saw some pics of those scopes on Sniper's Paradise awhile back, and can't seem to find it in the archives. I'll keep looking..

Yeah, I've seen those - scans from the NF catalog. I was hoping to see how it looks in proportion to an AR, or another scope.. not just floating out in space.. And a detailed review...

Hi Mike,

You're the man.

No rush. I'm too busy with RM3G and the ITRC to do anything right now, and it'll be at least a couple months before I'm organized.

Basically, I'd like to see how large they are on an AR, and how far forward they protrude when mounted for correct eye relief. Also, how much weight do these save over the 3.5-15x50mm ?

I'm most likely to use Leupold or NXS super-high rings, or the Larue cantilever QR mount.

So the turret caps have to come off to dial elevation?

Once removed, do the turrets allow the same usage as the "big" NXS's? By this I mean, the MOA demarcations are visible from the rear and they can be zeroed with a set screw?

I'm thinking of this as a carbine optic for the ITRC.
