Will you be doing this in a 20" Gov't profile? Are you going to sell barrels & bolts separately? I want to do an all CMT gun & use their upper to match my lower. All replies are greatly appreciated!

CMMG, you're screwing up everything for me!  The more stuff that you come out with already built the less time that I get to spend in my shop!

This run is a gov't profile. I hope I havn't made a typo along the way. We will likely do a medium contour shortly.

No doubt my exuberant reading into all the choices....

Oh, and yes, the feedramp cuts are anodized.

oh yeah!

Awww shit.  I wasn't going to dabble into the 6.8, but at this price I may have to.  Not to hijack, but do I need special magazines for this one?

Yeah, no shit! I was thinking of something very similar at work last night.

Dang.  Do I buy the lightweight right away, or do I wait for the medium contour?  SPC users, advise!

Hows ammo availability and costs right now?  Wolf or S&B or like?

What is the optional gas block?  Will there be any other options such as free floated rails, etc.?  Thanks.

Actually looks pretty good right now. Midway has Silver State 115gr for $11.49/box of 20. Not as cheap as 5.56/.223, but not nearly as bad as 6.8SPC was this time last year.

the best thing about the 6.8 mm is that you can hunt deer with it in states that dont allow mouse rounds for deer.

and for around 800 with a lower damn good price.

Wow!  CMMG seems to be listening as mentioned above!

Now when your gas piston system comes out in .556  I'm going to go into debt big time.

Excellent and decent pricing, too.  Hope you offer it with the new 6.8mm Vortex, too.  Heard you'll be stocking them for the 5.56mm weapons.

Great move!  The 6.8 SPC Vortex would be a super addition to your upper.  Hope it comes 5/8 X 24 TPI. If so, I gotta get one, too.

I meant to ask, what is the optional gas block mentioned below?

Quoted:
When ordering with optional gas block, barrels will not be drilled for taper pins. Barrel is marked CMMG MPC 6.8 1/10.

Thank you.  Very exciting product.

I do not want to start a debate on cartridges but is there any interest in the 6.5 Grendel?
I personally like the ballistics better and it looks like the cartridge might take off this year with Wolf getting behind it and new mags being made.
I hope someone builds a 18" stainless (maybe fluted) upper.

I'd love to see your 18" mid-length barrel in 6.8.  Based on the exceptional quality of the 14.5" mid-length I just receive from you guys, I'd definitely be in the market for one.  I know 6.8 is "not a long range cartridge", but with an 18" barrel, it would do what I needed out to 600 yards.

If not, at least a "MedCon" 16" in 6.8

thanks!

Just received mine.  Looks very clean, visually. 1/2 X36 TPI threads, unfortunately.  understand forthcoming prodcution models will get the now standard 5/8 X 24 X .730 TPI configuration.  Give you all a full report after some range time.
