Ok so i have a 20" i built a while back. Shoots everything i throw at it just fine. Up until i bought this Tula manufactured shit that comes in a white box. It shoots fine but will not feed the next round no matter what magazine i use. I figured the ammo was at fault but i tried it in 3 other AR's and it was fine. Those were all carbines however. This one uses a standard rifle buffer.

Could it be the buffer at fault? Maybe the ammo isnt hot enough to blow the bolt back far enough to feed? Its not the magazines because they worked fine with this ammo in all my my carbines.

Anything?

I have heard of people having FTE issues with the ammo due to the chamber getting fouled.   I wonder if you may have this issue and it is slowing down or dragging the cycle.  You may consider a buffer.   Do you have M4 cuts top and bottom?

I am having a similar problem. I took my first build to the gun shop where they test fired it with no problems. Next day at the range it would load two or three rounds then miss feed. It seems to be getting worse. I tried two different brands of ammo, same results, only had one magazine a 5 round PRI.The gun is 6.8 cal, RRA upper and lower, AR Stoner 20" barrel and bolt. Love the rifle though, this is the most accurate I have ever fired. Any Ideas ?

Haven't had time to get back to the range, but now I know a few things to check out.

Tula ammo is probably the worst ammo out there.

I can feed usually feed a mag or two with it in my BCM rifle but then I get failures like you describe every 4-5 shots.  Still have a ton of the stuff but don't really shoot it anymore unless I am just out messing around and not trying to actually work on something.
