Just put an Ar-10T car on layaway.16in stainless free float barrel and A2 stock. Will pick it up next weekend. Would would be a good scope for hunting deer and pigs. Prefer something Leupold. Also good factory load for accuracy and hunting. Will post pics next weekend when I pick it up. Picked up today. Next is scope.

Do you hunt a bolt gun with a scope that you like now? No reason not to use a similar one if you are happy with it.

If you are always in close, shooting fast, and in daylight, you may want a dot at 1X..... but if you are hunting from a blind or stand, maybe something like a traditional 3-9x40 or the 3.5-10x40 would be a good reference point. Leupold has several quality grades of scope which run similar sizes and powers. Pick the price point you can tolerate and go from there.

Here is an inexpensive way to test if you like:

The 3x works up close and the 9x takes you past where you can shoot.
