Hi Folks,

Always wanted an AR15. Last week I found a deal I could not refuse. A guy I work with said he had an AR15 that is 20 years old that has been fired only 30 times. Finally, I met up with him and took a look at the rifle. It was like brand new. Turned out to be a Colt SP-1. I offerd him $600, settled on $650. I walked away smiling. I think I got a good deal. What kinds of mods would you recomend? New stock? 30 rnd magazine?

Do not modify anything. You bought the rifle for roughly 1/2 its collector value. Feel good and enjoy. Use only USGI surplus 20 or 30 round magazins and you should be fine.
