The sad news about this rifle is that it isnt mine!
I built it for the shelf where I work. I cant afford it just now, but I think this is the one I would build if I could. When I was making it, I wasnt paying much attention to what the price tag was going to be, I just put what I thought was nice and would work well. Surprisingly, when it was all done, the gun was less expensive than the Barret M468's we have. And I think its nicer! Here's what its made of.
LMT lower with SOPMOD stock and standard trigger
RRA flat top upper
LBC Natl Match bolt carrier
CMT 6.8 bolt
Noveske 16" midlength barrel
PRI Gas Buster
PRI midlength tube in natural finish
PRI flip up front sight
PRI 6.8 mags with the military floorplate
Smith Enterprise .308 Vortex
Troy Industries rear sight
Magpul Trigger Guard
TA01nsn ACOG
I might change the upper and the ACOG if I do one for myself, but other than that I am excited about the gun. I didnt really carry anything 6.8 at the shop where I work for the longest time because I could not get ammo. But at Shot Show, my Distributors were telling me ammo was available. PRI told me they have plenty of mags and Noveske is making some sweet barrels. After Shot Show I was able to order about all the ammo I asked for. Currently we have Remington 115gr FMJ's, Remington 115gr OTM's, Hornady 110gr BTHP and Hornady 110gr V-Max rounds. PRI sent me both 15 and 25 round mags, so we're off! If all goes well we'll have something like this on the shelf all the time.
And here is a pic of new-argirls dog Meyer. He rocks!
