Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New 16" upper. Any "breakin" suggestions?

Just received my 16" upper for my Bushy.  Had a 20" upper on it before.  Is there anything specific I need to do prior to shooting it, aside from totally cleaning and lubricating it?  

"shoot it a lot" is something I intend to do tomorrow after getting it sighted in, so anyone with that suggestion, thank you in advance.

I ran 50 patches of JB Bore Paste through my last carbine just to smooth it out before shooting.  Worked like a charm, made cleaning significantly easier and I can't complain about the accuracy!
