For many years I’ve been shooting PMP (South African commercial .223 55gr).

My massive stock pile is down to a single case and it seems to have been discontinued.

Last time I purchased some it was only $75 per 500rds! (The good old days)
Any recommendation for a good quality, cheap as possible, reloadable alternative?  I’d hate to wait months and pay these prices only to find out that my discount ammo is no good.
This is intended to be a general use bullet for practice, light hunting, a “whatever” stock bullet.

It seems that most the highly rated ammo on this forum is gone.

I would probably go with Centurion. It's great ammo and AIM / SPG will let you backorder it at good prices.

I've been happy with Prvi Partizan for reasonably priced general purpose ammo.  The 55gr is good plinking ammo, and the 75gr match ammo has decent accuracy, also for a good price.  You'll be looking at $370-$450/k for these, depending.  Availability's limited, but if you watch the pinned availability thread and jump on it when it shows up, you can set some aside.

Thanks guys, I'll put this on my watch list.  I had so much ammo in stock I’m a little late in realizing that it all gone now!
Even reloading components are impossible to find.  - Old news to everyone else; new to me.

Prvi, like my PMP seems to come in two forms - army surplus and commercial.  Which is your experiance with?
