Hello guys,

I need to gather some info on a Colt AR15 rifle.  It is a preban Colt Gov't Carbine 6520.  The rifle has a 4 digit serial number and some uniquities.  Here are the details on what it is:

Preban Colt Govt Carbine.

4 digit serial number

2 postion 1 and N marked collapsible stock.

Raised fence.

No receiver block.

Small fire control group pins.

Large front pivot pin.


According to some, this was considered a "White Label" because it was built in the transitional period between the Green and Blue Labels when Colt went from slab sided receivers that were un-blocked and had small FCG's to the raised fence with receiver block and large FCG's.  

I would like to gather as much info on this rifle as possible.  How many built, the time frame in which it was built, and any reference materials or sites that might document such fact.

Any and all help is appreciated.

This one is in the 8000's.  It also has the large front pin.  I heard they only let about 800-1200 of these out like this but have no documentation on any of it.

I am hoping someone has a site of reference that they can refer me to.  I used to have a bunch of the reference sites saved in my favorites on the old PC until it died! ARGHH!
