Don't have any experinece with these types of weapon lights.  Have been looking at the Streamlight series and was wondering what you all thought.  Which ones should I be looking at?  I want quality but don't necessarily want to break the bank.  Haven't read many complaints about the streamlight but I want to make sure I get quality.

Oh, and this will be for a Glock 17 and 19.

Thanks in advance.

TLR-1 gets my vote. It's relatively cheap at $90-120, proven, durrable, and small as compared to others. Make sure it's the newer C4 model though (brighter and longer lasting LED).

+1

It's my duty light and I've beat the hell out of it and it hasn't let me down.  I've had it for 5 years and zero issues and if it does stop working in the next few years, it wont break me to buy another one.

You can't go wrong with the TLR series, but I ended up, after researching the shit out of both of them, with the XTI Procyon from Insight Tech. It was brighter, had a better beam (for me), and it strobes. It also fit my G19 like it was made for it.

SureFire X300 is the benchmark IMHO.

Surefire X400. Light and laser combo

I like my TRL-1 plenty.

For the nightstand and screwing around at the range, the Streamlight series are fine and will get you buy for moderate duty use. However, Surefire gets the nod for hard use and quality control, but at the added expense of about $100.00 more than the TLR-1.

I run both on short and long guns without issue, but also have backups. OCD rules.
