I'm looking for a front focal plane scope with variable magnification and something that can magnify up to 14x.  Which companies (besides S&B) make a quality product in the $1200 dollar price range?

For the magnification you are looking for, the only one in the price range is the new IOR 3x18-42 that Scott from Liberty Optics has going on at Sniper's Hide.  It has Mil Turrets but no illumination and it comes with rings.

IOR also has the 2.5x10-42 FFP with the Illuminated MP-8 reticle and Mil Turrets.  I currently have this one and I love it.

If I'm blowing the budget, does the complete US Optics line offer front focal plane reticles?

For FFP scopes and the magnification you are looking at would be S&B and USO.  IOR and Leupold make FFP scopes also but they only go up to 10x at this time.
