What do you guys feel is the best mount for an Aimpoint?

Here is what I'm planning.

1)RAS-II with A.R.M.S. 22M68 no spacer.

2)RAS with cantilever mount (probably the ARMS cantilever spacer for the 22M68 since its cheaper than the GG&G cantilever)

What do you guys think? I know the RAS-II is better than the RAS for some reasons, but it seems that a cantilever will put the Aimpoint out just a little further than the hump on the RAS-II.

Is co-witness possible with a cantilever?

My Aimpoint is mounted with an ARMS 22M68 and Cantilever spacer and it co-witnesses the irons just fine. The mount is attached directly to the flattop receiver (about as far forward as possible) and the cantilever places the dot right over the delta ring. I love the setup. Sorry, no experience with the RAS systems.

I have your option 2 setup (RAS, ARMS #22M68, and ARMS #22M68-EX Spacer) along with an ARMS #40 and it does fullfill the co-witness configuration you're looking for. After looking at mine, it would appear that the Aimpoint sits a little closer to the muzzle than your option 1 setup would. Can't be sure thought since I don't have anything to compare. E-95

ARMS 22M68 and Cantilever spacer is my plan of attack and works very good for my KAC's flat top. Semper Fi

Go with the RAS2 option. You will never notice the tiny differentc in placement compared to the cantilevered mount.

RAS II with the 22M68 and no spacer Plus I can mount a PVS-14 with a PRI mount directly behind it, without removing the rear sight.

Check out this pic of mine: I have had this setup for many years. Would not change a thing. Aimpoint gooseneck,(forward carry handle mount)and the QRW rings. I like it this way, as I have a US Tatical carry handle mount when I want to mount it on the handle and remove the gooseneck. "ALL THE EVIL THINGS" I like the forward config much better because you can see the iron sights in the aimpoint, just below 1/2 way. The top of the dot is even with the front site and works great. I battle sited it to 66yds. If you don't like, turn the aimpoint off. You can't do that with a Trijicon..
