I just built a new AR-15 and it is a flat top. I bought the CAA detachable carry handle/ rear sight. I am tring to zero my rifle in and am a little confused as the markings on ther elevation wheel are not standard. Bottom out is marked ZERO. The other marks are 5,10,15,0 and they are correct in the click count.
I have been reading An Improved Battlesight Zero for the M4 Carbine and M16A2 Rifle at Maryland ar15 shooters sight  http://groups.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite/improvedbattlesightzero.msnw
They tell me to bottom out the sight as follows
Rotate the sight wheel all the way down. Will probably be exactly at 8/3 (6/3). Don't force it down.
When I bottom out it is 0 (zero) not 8/3 or 6/3.  I have to assume that each click on my elevation is 100 meters.

Can some one tell me how to set my CAA to a 200 meter zero .  Please be real specfic I am a little slow until I full grasp what is going on. Exact detail would be helpful.

+1

I just received one from AIMSurplus and would also be interested in an answer.  It seems like a solid carry handle, but other posts indicate that it will not work with mil-spec ranging guidelines.

Fot that, I'd zero at 50 meters with the rear sight set at '0'. That should be right on for a IBZ.

Sometimes you need a taller front sight to get on at 50. Bushmaster sells it. I have no idea what those range markings are about. Could they be 50, 100, 150 and 200???
