I was at the Valley Forge,PA gun show last weekend and picked up this ammo.It came in a green bandoleer. It has 7 pouches and is printed "5.56 mm m193 10 round clips WCC87K001-002. The reverse side has printed NOV 777A.
The head stamp is W C C 8 7.They are brass cased and FMJ.They are on stripper clips in cardboard sleeves.
It appears to be US Military bandoleer, strippers and sleeves but wondering about the ammo itself.
I dont know how to upload pictures yet which is why im only using text. Thanks alot in advance....

Standard M193 ammunition WCC87K001-002 = Winchester Centerfire, 1987, October, Lot 1, Sublot 2.  The headstamp verifies the load year.  Good stuff.

Boy, from NJ to Valley Forge, isn't that like 5 hours one way?  Doesn't NJ have any good gun shows?

WCC - Winchester Cartridge company, WCC is usually only used on Wichester made Milspec ammo as opposed to W-W used on Civilian ammo

The ammo you described was originally set up for a M-249 SAW

$17 for how much, 1 bando?

If so you should have bought it all. That is what, $119 for 840 rds!

Hmmm, isn't that stuff supposed to be two clips per pouch, 6 pouches per bando, 7 bandos per can, for a total of 840 per can? Perhaps what you got was repackaged to sell at that price but if you got 120 rds for $17 you "stole" that ammo.

Anyone else know about this?

Nope, that's the usual (at least in 1987) packaging for use in rifles.

The military switched to the 4-pocket bandoleers, with 3 stripper clips per pocket, sometime in the early '90s as I recall...

SAW ammo is packaged on links.

That's the same ammo Ammoman.com had for sale recently: WCC87 still sealed in the can!.  I bought 2 cans and they came boxed together in the original shipping "palette".  Good sh*t, Maynard!

I just saw some of this (WC 92) 3 clips per pocket x 4 pockets at the gun show. They wanted $27 a bando.
