Hi to all, I am a new menber to this site.
After reading the AR15 ammo oracle article I got curious about a 1000rds. of .233 ammo  I bought about 10 years age and sorta forgot about.  I transfered it to an ammo can back then so there is no identifiying box.    It is FMJ  with a sealed primer and stamped  with the letters W C C and numbers 9 and 4.
Any ideas?
thanks,
Matt

I believe W C C is Western Cartridge Co. and the 9 4 is the year it was made-1994.

Winchester  ammo,  cases were made in 94, so they be loaded around that time also.. probably have red paint around the primers / headstamp.

Please check-out this link: cartridgecollectors.org/headstampcodes_bottom.htm

"WCC" means Western Cartridge Company (Olin), East Alton, IL 62024, USA  h.gif
"Olin" more or less means Winchester  hat

Yep the rest of the guys are right.  When I bought my AR from a buddy of mine he handed me 100 rounds with the same stamping on the bottom of the cartridges.  hug.gif
