Guys,

I'm looking for some pop up front and rear sights.

This is for a build project.....and, most likely, a rifle that just might become a safe Queen.

Regardless, I'm looking for something durable.

The upper has a 20" barrel, if that matters to anyone.

Thoughts?

Once upon a time we would have said Troy, but...   KAC, PRI, MI or YHM now.

KAC.

Or hate Troys stance and buy their product anyway...

I have both.

I really liked having the magpul sites b/c they are spring loaded vs the manual flip-ups.

Options for quality metal spring loaded sites are expensive.

GG&G

ARMS
MAGPUL

Some of those are aluminum and some are steel. I'm sure there some more options but they are all expensive.

I've had OK luck with PSA's aluminum ones, and they are cheap.  The main issue is that they are a little clunky, and aren't spring-assisted.

Can you please post some pictures of them on your rifle? I would like to see them.

I don't know if this fits your budget.. but the Troy integrated front sight I really like.
The sight folds up and down and is integrated into the rail if you want to run an optic or Eotech or magnifier or something you can get it out of the way since you have a fairly long barrel. I'm assuming an optic is in your future.

It folds down and is flip up push button operated to begin with.
Plus if you like the troy sights, thats a win too.

I have seen this in many places. What exactly happened with them? I don't keep up with stuff like this.

Thanks,
Scott Jr

I got some Troys. Good quality shit right there. Wonder what they did, though....

I have been happy with my Troy flip up sights.

Troy hired some people who don't agree that you should have guns in hopes of getting police contracts. I like my diamond heads. If you don't like the odd shape they make standard ones as well.

Thanks. I decided to look it up myself last night; I almost couldn't believe what I was reading. Looks like there will be no new Troy products for me.
Having said that, I think I would go with KAC.

Since it's a safe queen.. go cheap. Get the PSA sights. They are not spring loaded but they happen to have a good deal going now for their Vortex red dot and aluminum sights package for $180. Both work fine on one of my rifles. Just a range toy but I am happy with them. Sights are made in US too.

I almost went with the DH instead of Troy!!! Starting the 300 build, and it looks like it'll be DH.
