heh...let me be a bit more specific

The gun is a .308 bolt action with a Picatinny mount...and the scope in question Tasco SS 10x42..weight is not an issue...I'd like a QD feature, though.

Larue SPR or Mk11(as in SR-25). Don't think you need the extra relief of an SPR-E. Depends on the stock arrangement and how much eye relief you need.

The objective is 42mm...so what would be the correct ring height?? I might wanna use the scope & rings on my AR with SIR, too...I'd would want the rings to be as low as possible.

Oh, almost forgot...does Weaver rings work on Picatinny rail? At least ARMS
QD stuff don't work on Weaver rail.

Thanks for the tips. I think I go for the Burris Xtreme 30mm rings [med] these should work with both the SIR and the upcoming .308 picatinny base. Do you guys have any opinions on these Burris Xtreme rings? They sure look sturdy yet they are reasonable priced.

Thanks. Accepting better offers, too.

If money is not an options I really like the ARMS #35 QD, if money is an issue look at the Armalite 30mm 1 piece mount
