I have a  Bushmaster M4/A3 Government AR-15 with a 16" profiled barrel with a standard bird cage flash suppressor. Now to my question, I wanted to change my  flash suppressor with this DPMS , how do I do so. Will it screw on and off? Will a DPMS part work on my Bushy? thanks

Yah, unscrew the A2 and screw on the new one.  No sweat.

Is that a phantom clone - i.e. it works as good as an orginal phantom?  Don't know if whoever owns the phantom designg (YHM?) has it patented or not?

If not, an original phantom is only like $5.00 more.

(Of course if you already own it, it's a moot point).

Yep, it is threaded normally (i.e. not left handed threads) so just unscrew the A2 and thread this one on.

DK-Prof, it might be from YHM. The last 2 letters in the part number are "YM".

Course, I'm just grasping at straws here

I have read where some have needed to apply heat to their FH's to free them

Of course, limited heat to prevent marring the surface finish.

Maybe a propane flame to loosen the loctite's grip - but only localized and briefly

When I’m installing my Panther flash hider what steps should I take to make sure it is properly installed?  Do I still need to install the lock washer? I was also wondering if the Panther flash hider had any more length over the birdcage A2 thats on my gun now?
