I do not post here, do not own a .308, but I am considering one.  I shoot only .223.

I would like an AR style in .308, but a friend has an original FN FAL and it is great.  I like the balance and the mechanicals of the design.  I am looking at the DSA, I assume these are good.

If I do get an AR stlye, I do want a  Flat Top 16", short and easty to swing.

I have a pile of good used FN FAL magazines I purchased at the NRA show in Houston, in anticipation of getting a FN style, but I really want to look at the options.

Any advise from those of you who own or shot either styles.

Thanks,

77Bronc

I have no problems with my BAR10.  Here is a pic.

If you already have the FAL mags, then the Bushmaster BAR-10 is the way to go.

Follow up shots are slower with .308. I have never seen a .223 shoot as accurate as my .308. At 100 yards, I put every bullet in the same hole. If you want to hunt with an AR, the .308 is the way to go. Penetration if you ever need it.

I have a 16inch barrel.
