After I tune up my AR-15, I have to get one of these:

Can you identify this rifle? (GURUs welcome)

From memory(no searching, that is cheating!), I believe that it is an FN303 non-lethal 18mm? paintball gun.  Anybody know anymore about this?  I know that it only holds like 18 rounds in that rotary drum.  Looks fun, but what is the point?

*edit* Ok now that I have looked at it, it DOES look kinda cool!  Adding the bismuth and the fins really ups the range.  Point target accurate to 50 meters!  Sweet.  I bet that you could shoot paintballs in it.  You might not get them to feed right though.  Now I am going to have to build a paintball gun that shoots a PB with a fin sabot.  Liquid nitrogen, good valving, properly sized expansion chamber, probably need to get that thing up to about 450 FPS.  Make it look *just* like an AR.

I could, but I won't.

I would venture to guess that it is smooth bore and not a rifle at all, Paul!

Cool!  I am the winner!  What do I win?  And to think, I never got picked first in gym class!

I looked at that thing.  Regardless of what specific payload, each projectile weighs 8.5 GRAMS.  Lets see here, this box of 9mm Mak says 95 grains equals 6.1 grams.  So doing a little proportionating, they weigh 124 grams.  That is equal to a 9mm bullet, but they only go 290 or so FPS and they are .68 so they have 3.75 times the area.

Gee, have these people learned nothing over the countless wars that we have had over the existance of humanity?  Pain does not stop people, blowing big holes in them does.

So, again, what is the point?  I would like to shoot cats with it.  No, not your cat, feral cats.  And maybe rent it out to teach squirrels no to get in the bird feeder.  Hehe, I think that it would knock the fu$kers of the feeder, maybe kill them.

It's not really a gun... more like an accessory.

It's a development by a U.S.-Israeli company :-
- a gun that can fire at right angles.

The pistol, produced by the Florida-based Corner Shot Holdings, is being tested by the Israeli military and has already been bought by a number of special forces around the world.

A spokesman for the Israeli branch of the company refused to comment on the report.

Pictures of the weapon show a gun composed of two parts -- the front, that can swivel from side to side, containing a pistol with a color camera mounted on top, and the back section which consists of the stock, trigger and a monitor.

The unique weapon allows the soldier to remain behind cover, with only the barrel of the rifle exposed in the direction of the hostile fire, even at a sharp angle.
