I am a proud owner of a brand new Colt 6721 Tactical Carbine AR15 A3.  I picked it up at a gun show and it was still in the plastic wrapping.  I am looking to fire it for the first time this weekend.

Make sure you break her down, clean and lube her before you go shooting for the first time.

Bolt Carrier = SLICK with CLP.  Should glide with ease.

sorry I didn't post any pics the first time around.  please correct me if I am wrong but my logic in buying a Colt was that the resale value on Colts are pretty good.  that basically helped me justify my purchase because the new Colt was bank compared to some of the other manufacturers.

LOL thats a justification that alot of Colt owners use but in all honesty do you ever seeing yourself selling your AR???  Personally I don't sell guns EVER.  I may one day trade my Winchester model 70 cause it kicks like a SOB but beyond that I KEEP all my toys.  Don't worry about the cost that will come later when the credit card bills come rolling in just enjoy the fact that you bought ONE of the finest ARs you can own.  Life is too short to buy cheap guns.

I think VT4meGunCtrlisAntiUS meant you won't have any money after you add optics, magazines, ammo, ammo, ammo, and more ammo.

Here I fixed your picture for you.

Congrats.

do I need to lube everything before I shoot it for the first time?  it looks like the factory lubed it pretty well.  I get lube seeping out of the seems each time i dry fire it. what do you recommend I use for gun cleaner and gun lube?  any particular brands?  thanks for all of the warm welcomes, I'm glad to be apart of the site!
