As per my note to Steve in the INDUSTRY forum. Just to let you all know, if you want a chrome lined Elite CAR A4 from RRA, this is what you can expect.

It will be 9 weeks wednesday for my NM A4 and no word from my FFL as of yet.

Why not just go down to the local gun store and pick up a Bushmaster? I doubt the RRA's are better.

Local prices on in-stock Bushmasters are pretty high. RRA was a personal preference, and it's already paid in full.

If we had wanted a Bushmaster that is what we would have ordered instead of RR's. Again personal preferance on my part as well and like Roadhog mine is paid in full. It's a little late even if we wanted to change our minds.

If it's any consolation, it'll be worth the wait. I've got two and I've had nothing but perfect fit and function from them both. I had quite a wait as well and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know why you want to wait this long for an entry level product that is inferior to stuff being offered on this board for a similar amount of money.
Link Posted: 4/18/2006 5:18:33 PM EST
Yes, it is a consolation and I am glad to hear that and I am content to wait. I knew it was going to be a long haul when I ordered, as do most that visit this board.

inferior ???? is that.......... Nebraska ?
Link Posted: 4/18/2006 5:26:12 PM EST
Great... I'm at six weeks and my FFL was saying "probably this week"... Yeah right. Apparently not:( Oh well. It'll be worth it.

Glad I don't have to wait that long.

Don't worry guys, I bet you'll be happy when your stuff shows up, for sure.

I called RRA a little over a week ago. I can't remember who I talked too now but he told me they had shut down for that week to do inventory and have not produced anything. So, if your waiting make sure and add a week.

Mine took just over 8 weeks to come in. Worth the wait IMHO.

how come i see RRA's going on Gunbrokers?
Link Posted: 4/18/2006 5:54:05 PM EST
I ordered mine the first week in feb. still havent got it, it is expected to be shipped within the week. man i hope so. two months just seems like a ridiculas time to wait.

The reason you see a lot of them on Gunbroker is because they are popular at the moment and for good reason. It's the old supply and demand addage. RRA is what a lot of peole are asking for at the moment and a lot of dealers are stocking them as a result the company is behind in orders trying to keep up. Hence why we are having to wait for longer than normal production times.

+1

With all the Bushmaster, Stag and CMMG stuff flying around, I wouldn't pay the tax for a complete rifle. Waiting that long for a Rock River is nuts.

Atleast you have time to buy ammo.

Perhaps it is nuts. I have no doubt that I could build one easily or found another brand AR. I am in fact not an RRA nut. I chose their new NM A4 because no one else was building one. Trust me, I looked quite a bit before I ordered one. I looked at everything from Colt to Bushmater and everything inbetween but nothing else seemed to satisfy my requirments as well as the RRA rifle at this point in time.
