That mounting position seems like it may restrict the sling swivel from rotating all the way.

INDEED, IT DOES. AND THAT IS NOT A BAD THING. IT'S A POSITIVE ONE.

Absolutely!  If it swiveled all the way around, your sling would get twisted.

I have 3 and they work as advertised; however, the end plate will not fit on my Sendra Registered Receiver as the hole in the receiver is not deep enough.

Only if you don't transition side to side.  In the above setup, if you transition to the opposite side, the sling gets bound up or gets too tight.  In setup using Noveske's or Magpuls end plate, the sling hook just slides from left to right with no binding.

I like this idea,

I llike that if I want to take my sling off, I don't have a ring rattleing around back there.  I may be selling my magpul end plate after acquiring one of these.  I think this may fit my needs better

Will these work with the UBR?

Exactly!  I sold one of my Magpul end plates and now the other two will be going soon.

No.
No endplate will work with the UBR/M93.

I do like this, though I've seen it many times before.

sharpshooter - can you elaborate on that?

It will make me feel better if my prototype wasn't the first.

I was looking for this months ago, and could not find one.  I figured it was too logical to NOT be available.  Oh well, my magpul ASAP plate serves me well.

I'm not sure where all I've seen it, but I know that I HAVE seen it before, and more than once, and more than one place.
The first I saw of it I had no idea who made it... (May not have been the Noveske version..?)
A while later I saw it on the Noveske website.
I've seen it pop up at random since then, not all too often though.

I'd like to try one out & compare it to my ASAP

My ASAP came in and it is LOUD. I want the NOVESKE piece. DAMN. LOL

I guess I'm off to order the Noveske piece. It'll match my barrel. lol

Ok this puts me in a dilemma.   Do I want this or a Magpul ASAP?

While I haven't had it installed long, I'm loving my ASAP so far; I'm not sure what other people are referring to, as I don't find it noisy AT ALL even without the sling attached. *shrug*

That being said, I'm intrigued by this Noveske offering and I think I'll try it on my next build. I doubt that I'll be so blown away by it that I'll get rid of the ASAP but I do like the minimalist approach.

My main question is how well does the sling swivel attach to the end plate? It doesn't appear that there's all that much gripping surface, though that could be due to the angle of the pics or something. I'm definitely interested in reading some reports on this piece of gear.

All I know is that the first thing I noticed was that it "jingles" I didn't even take it out of the sealed package that came inside the ziplock with the  instructions. I know that it probably quiets down with the sling attached but when are those gonna be in stock? IDK  if nobody wants the ASAP I might put it on the next gun.

Simple. Smart. I like it!

I'm excited about this new product because it allows you to close the stock all the way without interference problems.  However, with that having been said, Daniel Defense has made a similar mount for several years now.  To get around the stock interference problem, I simply did a little Dremel work on the affected portion of my collapsible stock and voila, problem solved.  See the photo below.  Note: I had to zoom in a lot on an existing photo so the quality is somewhat lacking, but you should be able to see where I Dremeled out a small area for the sling swivel.  I do not however believe that this Dremeling would be advisable on an aftermarket stock such as the Magpul offerings, therefore I will likely be purchasing this new Noveske mount when I upgrade my stock.

Does Noveske have plans to make a sling like the magpul MS2 and a attachment point on a railed forend. Then they would have a sling system that would work for both singe and two point.

After thinking about this a little more Noveske could have a better set up then Magpul. If you run a SOPMOD II with a swivel mount you could easily pop it out of the end plate and attach the sling to the stock like a true two point. Does anyone know if they are thinking about this?

If magpul ever ships my sling out

Ive been using it with the vickers sling with great success. Weak side transitions are much easier than when mounting it on one side because the swivel can rotate. Also my stock closes all the way with the sling installed but it does push the button down alittle. I dont see it being a problem though

Running a DPMS lower, should I run into any issues with my QD off of my Vltor stock fitting into this Noveske sling mount plate with regards to the QD and or the hole in my lower?

THE QD SWIVEL FROM THE VLTOR STOCK WILL WORK FINE.

I'VE HAD NO PROBLEM INSTALLING THESE ON ARMALITE, COLT, OR LMT LOWERS.

I HAVE NO BASIS FOR AN OPINION REGARDING DPMS AS I HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH ONE.

I will order one today and report back on the fit.

I did spot a problem on my install.
I can't get the castle nut back far enough to make the final turn of the buffer tube to fully engage the buffer detent as the tube/protrusion for the sling mount hits the side of the reciever. If I back off the last thread, the buffer detent is just barely engaged. I'll probably attack the end plate tube protrusion with a light file and a honing stone to see if I can create enough clearance to make the last thread and get the tube to fully sit on the buffer detent.

I have both. The DD version is very different. It doesn't allow the stock to close completely. Look at the depth of the DD design vs. the Noveske. The Noveske is flat, low profile, and allows the stock to completely collapse.

Removed about 0.026" of material and now the buffer tube sits over the buffer tube detent properly using the end plate.

Hey guys, I am in the market for one of these, but I can't seem to find a dealer that will ship me one for less than $9!  It won't cost them more than a buck to drop it in a first class envelope...

Can anybody point me in the right direction?  Or just sell me one?

Thanks!

Yeah it sux to pay $9 shipping on $24 part that weighs about 1oz.  So I ended up ordering a Noveske t-shirt to help justify the shipping.  So with the added t-shirt you end up paying a total of $50 for the damn $24 part.    WTF did I just do?

Just to report but it works flawlessly with the magpul MS2 sling. It even works with the stock fully collapsed which you cant say with the ASAP plate

this.

i had the DD version and it wouldn't let me close my SOPMOD all the way and lock shut...

this version is unique in that it appears to take advantage of the relief hole in the rear of the lower allowing for the endplate thickness to stay the same

I received mine and it works great. Stock closes properly and my MS2 attaches fine.
Thanks for such a great product.

P.S. I see that you show the QD swivel on the web site now.
