Jewell Trigger Adjustment Procedure:
First, be sure the weapon is unloaded.
Overtravel Adjustment:The overtravel adjustment screw is the .050 allen head on the side of the trigger boss.
Cock the hammer, turn the overtravel screw, clockwise, all the way in. Pull the trigger, it should not release. Turn it counter clockwise about 2 1/2 turns. Try to pull the trigger. If it still will not pull, turn it counterclockwise one more full turn. Continue this until the trigger will release. Once you find this spot, turn the adjustment 1/2 turn more counterslockwise.
Second Stage sear adjustment:
.050 screw behind the hammer on the trigger boss.
Turn this screw 1/2 turn at a time counterclockwise, until you pick up a second stage. Once you find it, go 1/2 turn past the point where there is no second stage. You may have to play with this back & forth to see exactly where this breaking point is.
That should get you in there. If not, give me a call with your lower and tools handy and I will walk you thru the correct setup procedure.
