I just finished a post-ban telestock-BS-ban-ectomy. I drilled out the pin, removed the shoulder piece. I had a beer, then marked 1" increments. Had another beer and drilled 3 new holes for the locking pin. (because I'm a cheap bastard and refuse to go buy a new 'real' telestock when I was pretty sure I could make this one work....and I'm outta whiskey) It was a lot easier than I expected and took a grand total of 28 minutes start to finish--Thank God DoubleStar Inc uses quality parts! The only way you can tell I did the job is the small pin hole that I'll fill with epoxy and paint over when I sober up.
My wife has been grinning from ear to ear and I might just be able to get some lovin' tonight! A2 flash hider and front sight base (complete with bayonet lug) were ordered last week and should arrive tomorrow.
Now all I need is a 5/8" 24 die to cut threads on my .308 and I can install my Vortex....this is better than Christmas!!!!
Good Riddance to the AWB!
