Funny thing, I too just recently got my 1st AR after all these years and it's an Elite CAR A4 much like yours.  You're going to love the way it shoots.  I've got just under 2,000rds since this February through mine (I reload), and its great fun.

For me, its different looking enough from an M16 that I'm not uncomfortable with it like I still am with the std ARs.  Hard to believe that 38yrs after I turned in my M16 when I got back in the World, I still get that uneasy feeling whenever I pickup a M16 look alike.

At 58, the eyes aren't what they use to be so I too, have gone with a scope but as you can see, my AR is more for the range than anything heavier.

Was there also 68-69. Yep was there for Tet of 69 also. I was with the 46th Engineers Long Bien, Saigon and also did some work in Cu Chi. We covered a 75 radis of Saigon. Our patch was a Castle. You probuly seen it while you where there. Had a friend who was a tunnel rat with the 25th. Thanks brother and welcome home..hug.gif
PS I am 58 also. LOL
