With the AWB coming to a end I knew I was in need of a new carbine.
So I went on a search for a practical but good looking AR.
This is what I came up with........
http://www.marshallnet.com/~garyp/AR15M4-e.jpg

Specs.....14.5 fluted barrel, A3M4 upper with GSE intergrated rail (free float)handguards, forward pistol grip, Phantom flash hider, flip up front site and
#40 ARMS rear site. I used a DPMS lower and Vltor retractable stock.

For the optics I had to go with US Optics # SN4 his
What do ya think
Thanks for looking

BooYa!

I like it.

Now go shoot the livin' shit out of it!

Did you have the bbl fluted or did it come that way?  I might just have that done!

How do you like the scope? I've always wanted a U.S. Optics scope, what kind of reticle does it have?

I got the barrel and upper from GSE.....Gun smoke ent.  great guys to work with. They offer fluted or non-fluted in the M4 profile.

The scope is every thing I hoped it would be and more....I got the luminated circle dot reticle
It is fast to pick up and and EZ to use.

Nice - flutes add style to the rifle.  Good job.

So are the GSE Kits good quality?   I really like the fluted BBL look, and have only seen it a GSE, but I have honestly never heard anything about them.

Wow, I am very impressed with what you built.  So impressed that I am going to copy it.  I have ordered a new stripped lower and two stage trigger kit and my Vltor buttstock just came in today.  I have two questions:

1.  Did GSE provide the entire upper, including float tube and sights?

2.  From where did you purchase the scope?

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

GSE Makes the front tube and thay will supply you with all of some of the parts .
I got the scope direct from US Optics   www.usoptics.com/index.html

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info,
GSE has my order for the upper and I have the buttstock in my hot little hand.  I may have to wait on the optics as this has depleted my funds for now.  Once again, a very cool photo.

why does the u.s. optics look like it is on backwards?  i know nothing of this scope and am interested in knowing why it was built the way it was.

[#22]
US Optics makes the best scopes on the planet, IMHO. The reason why it looks like it's on backwards is due to the 24mm objective. Needn't be any bigger 'cause the glass is so godddamn good. Probably has as much light transmission (maybe more) thru that glass as most scopes in 50mm. My eyes have wet dreams over the clarity of that glass.

As far as the weapon-RIGHTEOUS!!!! Methinks the fluting is badass.

Strong work. May the ban rot forever in hell.

Hey Commander,
Just a quick update:  GSE has my order for the upper and matched lower.  The barrels they had were not chromed so I opted to wait for a chrome lined one to come available.  More questions on the scope:  What options did you get on the scope and why?

That's a really nice looking carbine.

What does it weigh? Looks like it's heavy although I think it may not be. It just looks mean.

Nice job!

What kind of flip up FSB is that and how much does it cost additionally and did GSE install that for you? Also, is that the heavy fluted M4 or standard, and does it have a chrome lined bore and chamber? Thanks

Damn, that is one bad-ass carbine.. Very nice!

Good job.. I'm jealous..

Maybe you would be nice enough to post a pic through the SN-4 so we could drool some more???
