This is my first AR15 and my first build. I did all the work myself, luckly I had a good place to look for tips and guides. I'll get a red dot when I get use to the iron sights. I've put about 300rds through it, so far it has worked good.Tell me what you think.

Nice looking weapon.  You might want to consider a Surefire Z32 shock bezel for your G2 if you do much low-light shooting.  Brightflashlights has a few great package deals with the bezel and on/off tail switch.  Great service, too! Brightflashlights

Del-ton 16in kit
Cmmg lower
six postion stock
YHM flip up sights
tac latch
Tapco vertical grip
Midwest Indestries FF rail
Samco G27 pistol grip [in the mail on its way]
Viking Tactics light mount [in the mail on its way]
TDI saddle stock [in the mail on its way] going to give it a try

As far as optics the best choice for my buget is the SPOT MK III as it seems to be quite rugged as proven by Photoman.

Nice build and congrats.

+1 Surefire Z32 shock bezel and Z49 push button tail switch.

I have both on my G2 with a Daniel Defense offset mount, mounted at the 4 o'clock position.

I don't know what brand it is. I bougt it at a gun shop used for $5.00. It looks almost the same as a Yankee Hill Machine carbine abidextuosrous sling mount, $14.95 as found on their website.

Very cool. I like the LMT monolithic look. Give us a range report when you get a chance.
