So far, I've put M33 handguards on it, a Hogue pistol grip, and just today, an M3 light.  I've removed the front sling mount, and have turned the rear sling mount to the left side.  I have coming next week via UPS a side-mounted sling mount that goes onto the barrel beneath the front sight (USGI), and a new sling.  I've got an ML2 for her, but since I don't have the #22M68 w/spacer yet, I can't mount it.

SO... here is my baby in adolescence.  Hopefully next week, she'll mature, and then I can take her to the range and "feed" her some brass.

She's looking good Edge.  Keep the pictures coming!  As soon as my upper returns from Kurt's I'll get some photos posted.

I finally got my #22M68 with spacer, so this is how she looks right now:

I also have the USMC M4 sling, an ML2, and a side-mounted front sling swivel.  The last item that is still in shipping is a MAD BUIS that I got a great deal on.

And finally, she's done:

Added a vertical foregrip and the MAD BUIS.

Mine will be doen when I get an upper that my SIR will attach to, and get the LEDs on my M900 fixed.

That is one sweet looking carbine!

Now get out there and shoot it! [:D]

Very sweet rifle Edge.  In fact, I have a Bushy that is almost a spitting image of yours.  However, my Bushy doesn't have a vertical foregrip.  Here is an pic of it.  It has since changed a little bit.  For example, it now has a Hogue pistol grip.  I need to take another picture of it but this will give you an idea.

MarineNP: That's a great looking carbine there!  You're right: they do look very much alike!

Maverick: I plan on taking it out this weekend: I just had it out on Tuesday and sighted in the ML2.  THAT was some serious fun, and I had lots of eyes on me at the range from the old fellers that were using their Mini-14's with huge Leupold scopes at 100 yards.  They were crapping their drawers when they saw my groups, and then, when they looked through the ML2: they couldn't believe it wasn't a scope!

CombatJack: post the pics when you get it done: I always like seeing other AR's for inspiration for my next project: another M4gery, but this one will probably have a SIR and an ACOG (not sure which one yet: I'm saving my pennies already for it!).

Where can I find more information about those M33 handgaurds?

I looks sweet.

HERE, HERE, and HERE although all three sites say the same thing (as far as I can tell).

I like mine, and it's an inexpensive (I didn't say CHEAP) way to get accessories (non-optical) on the rifle.

I'll see what I can do about pics. Bushmaster is still a month out on the 1/7 uppers, and I need to get the M900 fixed. We'll have a digicam soon, at least.

I like the idea of the M33 handguards, but how do the polymer rails hold up, especially with the vertical foregrip?

Honestly, it holds up great.  I typically pick up the M4 by the foregrip when I take it out of the safe, or pick it up from leaning against the wall, gun rack at the range, etc., and it doesn't give, creak, or feel flimsy in any way at all.

For the cost, it's a GREAT buy, IMHO, and I have to admit that I was a bit incredulous as to its ability to put up with the punishment I put it through.  So far, however, it has surprised me and is holding up better than I could have ever wished.

What's the advantage of that, Troy?  I've seen that on some rifles.

I'm definitely getting the cantilever ARMS spacer: I'm placing my order today, and hopefully will have it here after they get back in stock at MSTN!
