Here it is, the final product. In the spirit of no more "throw on the floor" pictures I thought this would be better. I had just got back from the reflexive fire course when I found that my barrel was back so what better way to take the picture than in BDU's with IBA and LBE on Also included is close-ups of ADCO's work...

I call BS on your title. I'll place a bet for $20 that you will change something in the next year.

You can't resist the sickness. Give in. Resistance is usless.

It is or was a chrome lined M4 profile RRA barrel with a press on fake brake...

Say, what's with the blind pin on the Phantom?  Yours looks like a 16" barrel, I'd keep mine threaded in case I wanna put an A2 or something else on it

Ok thanks a lot.  I have the same barrel and am amazed how yours turned out.  Is that some type of spacer behin the Phantom?  Was any of the barrel cut off?

It is a washer of some sort. They cut the barrel back to 14.5 inches and threaded it. I thought they re-contoured the barrel back to look like an actual M4 barrel but I guess I misunderstood. I am happy with it like this though. The only thing I would change, if anything, would be the contouring on the front of the barrel but it is just cosmetic so I might not even worry with it. There is a bit of a lip left on the barrel where it was cut down also, more like burrs actually. I have not shot it yet either so I dont know how good the crowning was.

Sweet weapon!  I'm curious why folks block out their faces?  Plan on becoming a secret squirrel?

Wow... 15" MOA... Funny you should say that. I was a safety on the Reflexive Fire Course today and we were qualifying everyone on post just about and I had one guy (a tanker) hit 2 out of 20 times. Last time I shot this course was with someone elses M4 with no BUIS and an M68 without batteries and I still shot 19 out of 20.

Thanks for posting, DM1975.  I've been thinking about having ADCO perform the same procedure on my RRA FFH barrel, so I appreciate seeing the final product.  Please let us know how it shoots once you get a chance to run a few rounds through it.

Also, is there any chance you can post a photograph looking down into the muzzle?  I know it is hard to do with the flash hider in place, but I'd like to see what the crown looks like.

I just shined my G2 down the barrel and the crown looks superb... I will try to get a picture of it.

Wal Mart brand Mech Pro gloves... They are OK, I might get a set of mechanix before I go back to the sandbox though. I wear these in the field all the time and to ranges, plus I wear them riding my motorcycle.

Looks great DM1975.  I sent mine to ADCO too and I can't wait to get it.  They did a great job on your rifle.  Thanks for the pictures.

I took it to the reflexive fire range Friday and tested it out. It kicked ass. Convinced my CO to order OTALS for the whole company before we go back to Iraq. I think I let about a dozen people shoot it out there, everyone was in love with it. We cut our targets down by a 3rd of the size and shot the course with it and I still shot 20 out of 20. It seems to have a bit more recoil now but nothing bad.
