I thought I read at one time you could change out the o-rings and this would go away? Am I correct? If so, what size o-rings do I need?

I'll help to bump this to the top.  My SS has mushy adjustments, too.  Seems to click between numbers sometimes.

I have a 10x SS also and had some notes from SWFA Optics Talk thread some time ago on this. According to my notes it required a "DANCO #30 7/8" OD X 3/4" ID X 1/16" from the plumbing section."

Mine still seems to have very positive clicks so I never followed through and can't vouch for the info.

Hope it helps.

I think some form of dielectric silicone compound is recommended for the O rings.
If I recall, there were quite a few posts dealing with the mushy adjustment problem and all involved either more / less lube, replacing O rings, or both.

If you decide you do not like the scope any more, feel free to send it to me.

Im currently waiting for my new scope to get here, hopefully today, got this from a web site on the scope I have coming.
Looks like changed out the "O" ring wouldnt be a issue.

The gist of it is that you have to remove the knobs and get rid of that grease, lube, that have you inside. That was designed to make it saltwater resistant, or something to that effect. If you just wipe it off and leave it be, it feels much better. As for the between number clicks, I'm wanting to say when you go to put the turrets back to zero after zeroing it, you should be able to align them fine...

I recently read through all the reviews posted on www.swfa.com for the Super Sniper.  One review stated to run the windage and elevation adjustments to the limits (up, down, left, right) for a minimum of 50 times before mounting to distribute the grease evenly and to knock off any high spots in the engagement surfaces.  Article stated that after this, the clicks were very tactile and audible.

It worked wonders on mine.  And I used silicone grease that I found at the hardware store.

A friend of mine bought a SS 10x42 with side focus for his Rem.700 in .223 for cyoties.  He didn't read the instructions and had the mushy adjustments everyone is concerned about.  When he went back and did what the manufacture suggested about rotation up/down to limits several times, reinstalled on rifle and hasn't had a problem with it in the last 10 months.

Just bought a 10x Super Sniper with rear adjustment (not side).  Clicks are perfect, audible and tactile: no mushy feel.

Too hot to shoot it.
