Bear with me guys, I'm kind of new at the AR game here. Please set me straight regarding the different mounting rails. As I understand it; M1913/Picatinny is unique and requires dedicated rings or mounts for accessories. And Weaver is different from Picatinny. So Weaver rings will not fit on Picatinny rails? I think I understand but I want to be sure. Thanks!

A weaver rail is narrower than pic rail.
weaver rings work on pic and weaver rails
pic rings are too big for weaver rails

If you are buying new, just buy all Pic stuff. It's "more tactical"

I have found over the years that chicks dig it when you say "picatinny" although I cannot explain their reaction.

You definitely want to stay with the Picatinny rails. I ran into an issue where my weaver railed gas block (RRA varmint) would not accept the YHM front flip site because the valleys in the rail were to narrow... Bought a clamp on 1913 standard block and all is well.
